cow potty

Things have been a little busy around here but that hasn't stopped corrie from her usual antics. Sometimes you just can't be quick enough to capture it on camera but here are a few things I remember... She has been wanting to 'pray' for the food when we eat together. (Ask us about that one!) She is still fascinated with her belly button. Tonight she tried to 'plug it up' when she put the tub stopper over it. She should be in the belly button fan club.

And finally, no progress on the potty but she did put her animal cracker in it the other day and signed POTTY. I guess that means she knows something goes in it!
Oh, and I found a strange new "mole" on her back at bathtime but it was actually a tick so I guess she had her first tick experience. No rash or problems from it so far but we did save it in a jar. Eww!

fun with hats

A little early for Mardi Gras?

Putting her baby in a box. Hmm. She didn't learn THAT one from us!

Now, Corrie in a box!

If you want to see a bunch of Corrie videos all on one page, check out our YouTube 'channel'. http://www.youtube.com/BP2U
It's fun to see the early Corrie and latest Corrie side by side!

Pictures from the weekend

That's Corrie who's been a little sick the last few days (like Dad and everyone else), and then there's Mom who was trying to avoid the flash on my camera :)

Corrie has a molar coming in the upper right (her right) side - so that may be why she's having a hard time lately. Last night she woke up in the middle of the night crying... which is unusual.

A Mess

Meal times are becoming a little bit more complicated for Corrie. I still grind up the vegetables to get them down but at dinner time she has been trying what we eat... needless to say we've been eating a lot of chicken and rice these days. It's hard work for her and me! I'm realizing I need to save a little bit of energy for the clean-up. I usually don't pace myself well and have expended all my energy to get something on the table for all of us. But just like a good runner, I need to save some for the final sprint... post-dinner. Below you can see why.

And here is the after picture... the clothes didn't make it I'm sad to say but look at that full belly. I think something made it in there after all.

Grandparents Day

Wish we could give all you grandparents a hug on this Grandparents Day...

I asked her to be "happy" and smile for the camera...this is her signing happy.

That dimple's for you grandma and grandpa!

It started raining during our little "photoshoot" which was pretty nice because it hasn't rained much this summer. Corrie had to get out there and check it out.

Corrie's checkup

In case you were keeping tabs on Corrie's stats on a fancy spreadsheet or something, here they are:
31.25 inches tall
22.12 pounds

<-- in a few years

She had a couple of shots today...and didn't like them. She does like showing off her 'ouchie' though - what with the fancy bandaids and all :)

fun facts from the Powell home!

We actually grew and ate a tomato from a pot. This one sure tasted different... in a good way.

Corrie has driven Johnnie into hiding... in the most random places. Here he tries to blend in with the rest of the toys.

Grandma and Grandpa Powell came for a visit last weekend and she had so much fun she didn't want to take naps! I also got a few lessons from Brian's mom should Corrie turn out anything like Brian when he was younger...smile. Thanks for the head's up Grandma!

A former RA brought us some lovely cheese from Wisconsin. It's so cute! And finally some bath time fun with Corrie. (This is from a few weeks ago and has been edited. It is certainly suitable for viewing! Enjoy.)
