Happy Halloween... "Bahh!!"

Corrie's "Bah!" is anything but the gentle cry of a lamb. It's short and loud... like she's sneaking up on some clover and trying to scare it. Here is her costume and some more pics from the last week:
She spent a lot of time in the car seat! The bottom is a pond at the Missouri Botanical Garden... glass pieces floating with the African lilies.

carving a pumpkin

We carved a pumpkin this evening! I tried to get corrie to scoop out the seeds but after touching it she decided it was much better just to watch and point. I tried to make a cat pumpkin but when it was done she said, "mommmm" so apparently this is what i look like. She likes it when it is glowing. After coming home from church tonight the pumpkin was the first thing she checked and signed, "FINISH" (I think because it was dark?) so we lit it and watched it for a while.

I am excited that she is kind of at that stage of doing things like coloring, play-dough, etc. and would love to hear from you all about any favorite childhood activity that you remember doing. I guess I'll start... I remember playing "toe smasher" and hide-the-button when I was little. Both of those were with my brothers so I guess corrie would need a sibling or two for those... smile. what about you?

early halloween

A sheep (without her hat and ears), a dragon, a pumpkin, and good ol' Charlie Brown. Corrie was a bit scared of mom putting the black paint on her nose... but otherwise had a good time. Stay tuned for more pics :)

Corrie swing

She says "baby" at the end. Her other favorite new word, if you can call it that, is "uh-oh". "Ham" and "Home" sound about the same and her cow 'moo' is still a hum. :)

A big friend to play with...

Our friend Kacie came over today. We enjoyed hanging out with her. She showed us all sorts of fun things. It hadn't been more than 5 minutes and she had shown Corrie how to slide down the slide on her tummy! Here's a video to enjoy.

(This picture reminds me of those optical illusions. Our baby is HUGE!)

ps- we have pictures from a trip up to Indiana to see Grandma and Grandpa... we went to Silver Beach in Michigan and had fun. Well, Corrie didn't like the sand in the beginning but from the safety of the blanket we laid down, she threw the seagulls her crackers. Anyway, all to say that as soon as we get a minute, we will post some of those pics!

playing with chalk

We enjoyed the cool yet sunny weather outside yesterday. Our chalk started out big but it must be the end of summer because they are just little pieces now at the bottom of the box.

You probably can't see it but there was a squirrel climbing the little tree to the right.

Climb higher little squirrel!

I'm not exactly sure what this one means... She was watching some people walk by. She has been doing this kind of low walking the past few days. And we're trying to learn to run, skip and jump.

We leave our pictures all over the sidewalks for the WKU students to see. I'm sure some of them are surprised to see kitties and doggies on the ground as they walk to classes. It makes me wonder what they think, smile.
