Day 4. She's doing great and letting mom sleep almost 4 hours in the middle of the night, and other 1-2 hour shifts.. Corrie is still really curious and helpful - almost too much :) Here are a few photos: the one with the harness is from Day 2, the other one is here at home today. Her face and head are already filling out (ha) and I cloned out a couple scratch marks on her face (she had sharp nails and busy hands!)
We're finally getting a 2006 Kia Sportage... hopefully tomorrow. I did some research on the type of vehicle we wanted, and this one came out on top (economical option vs. RAV4, CRV, Escape hybrid). No minivan! :P We're excited to have more room for 4 and drive more safely down the interstate (the 2007 model just received 5-star safety ratings.. don't think they tested the '06?). This one is green, V6 4wd, with 30k miles.
If you don't know the story, they stopped making the Sportage after '02, and then came back in '05 with a revamped vehicle that's been getting great reviews ever since (new generation related to the Hyundai Tuscon). Our little '02 Kia Rio has almost 90k miles now, and will be super cramped with 4 of us...especially on trips to see family, but it has served us well and we'll keep it around (Thanks Ron).
This weekend we went to 2 different Christmas programs, and Carrie had contractions (or maybe it was the pizza) at the 2nd one. Last week's doc visit was great and normal. We're looking forward to seeing everyone over the holidays, and will post news when we have it!
