trip to barnhart

More pictures from our weekend with the Powell's.

At the playground...

A girl, a Grandpa, and a ballerina skirt...

Helping Grandpa out of the tunnel. She loved his baby chicks he is keeping in the garage (from outside their cage, of course). And as always loves Gus, Goober and Frisky the cat.
A picture of Grandma and Corrie standing beside our first Christmas tree. We loaded it in the truck and drove it all the way to Barnhart to see the "plant whisperer", or Grandpa Powell. Corrie loves her Grandma's and Grandpa's! She didn't want to leave... making pancakes with Grandma, the baths... who wouldn't? Mary was a little shy at first. I think she is going to be one of those children that hides behind her mother's skirt.

At aunt Betsy's baby shower... It was at a retreat center, so we did some "retreating" before it all started.
THEY OUTNUMBER US! (but don't tell them...) This is Brian's cousin Lisa and her happy baby Juliana. Corrie loved playing with her. I wish I had gotten a video of them laughing at each other... but my arms were full of baby.
Corrie loved helping Aunt Betsy open her presents.
It's always good to get some Uncle Steve and Aunt Betsy! We can't wait to meet their little girl in May.

My view from the car feeding Mary. Brian and Corrie were "playing" outside while we waited. They climbed the big pile of gravel. That's them on top, the two little specks. The bright side of traveling?... Corrie made it the whole way wearing underwear. The not so bright side...crosswinds in Illinois causing the car to whistle (must be a kia defect!).
