Corrie checkup

She's 6 months old now.. up to 19lbs, 14oz. Only grew about another inch or less though. I think she likes her new roomy car seat :) She had a few shots and cried for the second one (it was a bigger needle), but everything checked out OK!

But in Helsinki... they have a few bones to pick (and to sing about)
Well, I guess I could complain about 17 hours on the road in our KIA--but we have too much to be thankful for :)

I had my checkups at the clinic before Thanksgiving; so far the CT scan and blood tests were all clear :)) I go back in Feb. for x-rays and labs. Corrie's doing good. We tried giving her banana but she just uses her tongue... She can really sit up on her own now, even in high chairs. She's rolling all over, but still just 'swims in place' instead of crawling. Her new favorite sounds are "thh" "fffth" and "bbttthhff" -- all followed by bubbles and saliva. She grabs just about anything she can get her hands on, and puts whatever it is in her mouth. She has a doctor visit on Tuesday...

Her first dinner...

We tried eating the other day... it might be a while before we master that one. She is getting better and better at sitting up and rolling over though. Here she is surrounded by a sea of toys... and enjoying it.

Corrie can roll over by herself now - and even sit up in her big stroller (hanging on the the front handlebar and able to look around.

You can see, about halfway through, the 'sign' that Corrie is learning is "eat"! She closes her fingers and bring her (right) hand to her mouth (signing to Grandma Graber). Immediately, she grabs Oliver's fingers with her left hand and eats them. Then she eats her own fingers. :)
