Great grandma Peterson

Happy Thanksgiving from all the way up in Grand Rapids, MI! We're back in Granger, IN, now and it's snowing here late at night. Just thought I'd post some images to hold you over until we get back to KY...

We went up Grandpa Dan's family tree today - a huge turkey table with lots of great food included. Grandma's sweet potatos with brown sugar topping was great as usual, and the Detroit Lions game -I mean the turkey- put everyone to sleep. Back in Granger, Corrie helped grandma wash some dishes and then ate some fresh snow for dessert.

Fall on campus

Thanksgiving break is almost here!

Well, nothing much new here but it's amazing how Corrie is becoming quite a little lady these days. We all know how she loves to "help"... recently she has helped wash the dishes (twice), set the table (once) and loves to cook with mom (stir, stir, stir!). She is really enjoying some dvd's from the library, signing time, and seems to be signing a lot more. It helps to understand her and also for her to understand us. Her favorite signs are BROKEN, WALK (as in "I want to get down and walk!") and FROG for some reason.

She's getting into trouble more too, smile. But I guess that happens as you grow up. We are looking forward to seeing family over Thanksgiving and will miss the ones we cannot see.

Ahh... Fall.

Corrie is learning colors and there are lots of them outside now. The grass is actually green, from recent rains, underneath the reds, yellows and browns of the leaves. And the sky today is perfect blue and white. A great day for flying!
